about George

Hey, I’m Szymon, an artist located in Kraków, Poland who draws, mostly on skin, for therapy (yours and mine).
I used to be lost and tried to medicate chaos with more chaos. And drugs. Then, during therapy, I found a way to turn pain and confusion into purpose with ink. Now I scribble existential dread onto humans as a form of quiet protest.
George was first created as a group of random cats with silly text and no name. Over months and years, they evolved into reflection of my inner world. What started as a bunch of weird cats became a single character with personality, moods, and expression. I named him George, after my cat. Now he wears your happiness, anxiety, depression, and internet-era confusion like a weirdly comforting blanket.
Ironic? Absolutely. Healing? Strangely, yes.
Thousands of Georges now wander the globe on human skin, reminding us that sadness is softer when shared. Also: Fine Arts grad, psychology nerd, and serial traveler. Comic book in progress (no spoilers).
George was real, by the way. It was my beloved cat when I was a kid. He was a glorious, derpy soul. This weird legacy is for him.
